	Interactive Envelope Tool - Exercise File
CorelDRAW Tools
- Envelope

Open the file - acp-corel_draw_tools_envelope.cdr

IStraight Line Envelope

1) From the Window menu select - Dockers - View Manager

2) From the View Manager Docker choose - Straight

3) Select Interactive Envelope tool and click on "ACP"

4) From the Property bar select - Straight Line Mode - Mapping Mode = Original

5) Drag the top center node of the Editing Envelope to the black border

Single Arc Envelope

1) From the View Manager Docker choose - Single Arc

2) Select Interactive Envelope tool and click on "ACP"

3) From the Property bar select - Single Arc Mode - Mapping Mode = Putty

4) Hold down the Shift key and drag the top center node of the Editing Envelope to the blue border

Double Arc Envelope

1) From the View Manager Docker choose - Double Arc

2) Select Interactive Envelope tool and click on "ACP"

3) From the Property bar select - Double Arc Mode - Mapping Mode = Putty

4) Drag the top left node of the Editing Envelope just under the curved black line



Double Arc Envelope
1) From the View Manager Docker choose - Object
2) Select Interactive Envelope tool and click on "ACP"
3) From the Property bar select - Mapping Mode = Vertical - Click the Create Envelope From button
4) Double click the bottom center node of the Editing Envelope
5) Press the Spacebar to select the Pick tool - Hold down the Shift key and select the tear drop - Press the "C" and "E" keys to align the text to the teardrop

Unconstrained Envelope

1) From the View Manager Docker choose - Unconstrained

2) Select Interactive Envelope tool and click on the blue rectangle

3) From the Property bar select - Unconstrained Mode - Mapping Mode = Putty

5) Marquee Select the top and bottom center nodes of the Editing Envelope by dragging a box around them - Hold down the Shift key and select the bottom left and top right nodes

(selected the first node of each horizontal line segment in the rectangle.)

6) Press the + key on the numeric keypad to add a node to the center point of the selected line segments

7) Click on the white space of the drawing area to deselect the nodes

8) Marquee Select the center nodes of the top and bottom left horizontal line segments

9) Hold down the Shift key and Marquee Select the center nodes of the top and bottom right horizontal line segments

10) Click and drag one of the selected nodes down

Copy an Envelope from one object to another

1) Select the text "ACP"

2) From the Effects menu, choose Copy Effect \ Envelope From - Click on the enveloped blue rectangle

3) Click on the white space of the drawing area to deselect the text

4) Select the text with the Pick tool - From the Property bar, size the text height to 1.3 inches with Proportional Sizing selected

5) Hold down the Shift key and select the blue rectangle (flag) - Press the "R" and "E" keys to align the text to the flag

(The text took on the shading of the flag because a transparency lens was applied to the text.)
