Employee Spotlight Interview with Travis Barry

In your own words, what is your role at ACP/Verticomm?

My role at ACP is to help create a competitive and successful branch here in KC by building a winning team and taking care of our customers along the way!

How long have you been with ACP/Verticomm?

1.5 years.

Describe where you grew up and how it's special to you.

I am from Kansas City, and the people here make it special. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are "The People" I'm referring to.

What are some of your favorite ways to spend the weekend?

With my kid at the park or watching the Chiefs beat the Broncos year after year after year after year and so on...

What's your taste in music like? Do you listen to it while you work?

I like anything from blues to country. I listened to a little Lynyrd Skynyrd- Gimme 3 Steps this morning in the office.

Do you have any special talents or a hobby you'd like to try?

I can eat a lot... I would love to try base jumping!

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

The ability to read minds. It would allow you to see the true thoughts & feelings of those closest to you.

Where would you go on your dream vacation?

Do you have any kids? If so, what's your favorite part about being a parent?

I have a 5-year-old boy. To be able to see his development and growth along the way has been amazing.

Do you have a go-to productivity method?

Write everything down on post-it-notes!

What do you like most about working at ACP?

I like the relationships I have made with people while I have been at ACP. The people at the Kansas City Branch are truly one of a kind and extremely devoted.

How have you grown professionally since starting at ACP?

I have taken huge strides since being at ACP, and the biggest is my ability to compartmentalize. If you can't prioritize certain situations, you will have trouble succeeding in this industry.

If you could become an expert on any topic in an instant, what would it be?
