Drowning in Documents? Time to Implement A Workflow Solution
Inefficient workflows cost businesses time and money. By optimizing your workflows with document management, your office can become a hub for efficiency.

GREELEY, CO — Pioneer Press, a cornerstone of Colorado's commercial printing community for half a century, has become the first full-service Production Print shop in the state to install the Sharp BP1200S digital press. The installation, completed by Denver-based All Copy Products (ACP) in what marks the company's first-ever deployment of Sharp's flagship production press, represents a significant leap forward for Pioneer's capabilities — and a proud milestone for a shop celebrating its 50th year in business.
Founded in 1976, Pioneer Press has built its reputation on quality, relationships, and an unwavering commitment to the craft. When Cris SoRelle and his father acquired the company in 1999, Cris started on the production floor, where he learned the processes his team performed every day before stepping into a leadership role. That grounded perspective has shaped every technology decision the company has made since.
“As my role in the company evolved, I realized that technological advances can significantly impact production capabilities. I upgraded our estimating system so we had a better understanding of our true costs. This knowledge led to the realization that we need to be able to provide short run projects more efficiently without sacrificing the high quality our customers expect.”
— Cris SoRelle, President, Pioneer Press
The Sharp BP1200S answered that call directly. Equipped with F-Pink, Color Logic, and the Touch7 system, the press allows Pioneer to hit 90% of the Pantone color library with confidence — a capability that immediately expands what the shop can offer its clients. For Production Manager Brad Dunbar, the substrate versatility was equally critical.
“Our current clientele prints on a large variety of substrates — thin and thick stocks, synthetic sheets, vinyl, and label stocks. It was important to have a press that could handle all of it. Once we really engaged with the ACP team and understood the intangibles they brought to the table, we were sold. There are a lot of quality presses on the market right now, and finding a great press and a committed partner is a win-win every day of the week.”
— Brad Dunbar, Production Manager, Pioneer Press
General Manager Rudy DeSousa described Pioneer’s philosophy simply: “When you live in a place like Colorado, we want to get our jobs out the door quickly and correctly. Our employees and our customers want to get out and enjoy this beautiful state, and we want to give them the confidence and peace of mind to know their printing was done right.”
For ACP, the installation is the culmination of deliberate, ground-up preparation. As a longtime top national dealer for Sharp products, ACP’s production team invested significant effort to ensure a proper rollout of the BP1200S so that everything would be in place when the right production client came around.
“As a leader in commercial print equipment across Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, and Arizona, ACP is very pleased to have been selected by Pioneer Press for this installation. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Cris Sorelle and the entire Pioneer team.”
— Tim Davenport, Production Print Specialist, All Copy Products
Pioneer Press has long operated under the philosophy of “Putting Personality Back in Printing” — a belief that great work comes from genuine relationships, not just great equipment. The partnership with ACP therefore felt like a natural fit for their team. People buy from people, and both organizations have built their reputations the same way: one trusted relationship at a time.
