Employee Spotlight Interview with Marshall Hollen

In your own words, what is your role at ACP/Verticomm?

Northern Colorado Service Team Lead Technician

How long have you been with ACP/Verticomm?

13 amazing years

Describe where you grew up and how it's special to you.

I grew up in Fort Collins, CO. Fort Collins is special because it's a great place to raise a family which makes it a great place to grow up as a child. I have lived all over the world during my time in the military, therefore I can say beyond a doubt the culture and way of life around Fort Collins is unmatched.

What are some of your favorite ways to spend the weekend?

On the weekends I like to take my dog to a park or somewhere he can let loose and run until his heart is content. Other than that, if I don't have some project to do around the house, I usually relax and spend quality time with my wife.

What's your taste in music like? Do you listen while you work?

I have a pretty eclectic taste in music, but my go to is heavy rock or classic rock. I only listen to music while working when I'm driving from service call to service call.

Do you have any special talents or a hobby you'd like to try?

I don't know that I have any "special" talents, but I love playing the guitar and it's my biggest hobby.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

Knowledge is power, so I would love to have all the knowledge in the world about anything and everything. Or just to be able to see the future would suffice.

Where would you go on your dream vacation?

I would travel all around Western Europe and take in all the magnificent architecture and history there.

Do you have any kids? If so, what's your favorite part about being a parent?

I don't have any kids of the human variety, just four legged furry kids.

What do you like most about working at ACP?

I would say the people! Both the customers and other ACP employees are what I enjoy the most about working at ACP. That may sound corny, but I really do enjoy getting to know people and making connections.

How have you grown professionally since starting at ACP?

I absolutely have! Looking back when I started with ACP 13 years ago, I think about how the "me" then would be completely lost trying to do what I do for ACP now.

If you could become an expert on any topic in an instant, what would it be?

I've always wanted to learn how to fly an aircraft, so I would like to be an expert pilot.
